This spectacular marine scene features a wonderfully preserved 23.5” fossil ray (Rombopterygia) associated with an eel (Anguillavus) and a small fish (Guadryella).

Fossils of this caliber enable significant reconstruction of ancient anatomy and behavior, contributing to the advancement of paleontology.   • Matrix measures 20" x 24.5" x 0.25" (50.8 x 62.2 x 0.6 cm).
  • Weight: 63 lbs (28.6 kg).

 

Though there is repair to the matrix the fossil specimens are essentially unrestored, with only minor touch ups along the repair lines.
